St. Patty's Day Party
Ashley threw yet another fun-filled holiday party.
First, a little shamrock artwork
Next, a scavenger hunt to find buckets of loot
Finally, shamrock sandwiches...yum!
The girls...
...and the boys.
If you think those are cute...then check out this cuteness
Apparently lime green polo is a staple around here.

Spring Break and The Transportation Vacation
They had only been gone a few weeks, but our spring break calendar was clear, so the kids and I jumped at the opportunity to visit Lindsay and Keith in Chicago. We flew with 2 suitcases, 3 backpacks, 1 stroller, and 0 car seats.
0 car seats = Clarks at the mercy of public transportation
We rode planes, shuttles, trains, and buses round and round all through the town.
Here we are, waiting on the shuttle to the airport. Once we boarded the plane, Kendall thoroughly read the safety manual... safety first!
Here we are outside of Lindsay and Keith's new condo, ready for some fun in the city.
The kids were really into these weird leg sculptures.
Our first excursion was to the Field Museum to see Sue, the T-Rex.
We happened upon a fun surprise at this museum...tapirs!
Remember this?
These were real tapirs, but they weren't alive.
Four years later and he will still tell you that this is his favorite animal.
more Field Museum
Next stop, the Children's Museum at Navy Pier
This place was awesome!
We are definitely going to have to try to get back here.
After the museum we took a stroll around the pier.
You can't go to Navy Pier for the first time and not ride the ferris wheel. The kids loved it, the grown-ups...not so much.
While browsing in a toy store, we came across the World's Largest Gummy Worm. If it looks like he's struggling to hold it, that's because he is. It was heavy...$30 worth of gummy worm.
The next day was the first round game for K-State in the NCAA basketball tourney, so we hit a local pub to cheer on the Wildcats.
After the game, we walked down to the coolest piece of art ever... The Giant Bean.
Since we were already in our KSU gear, the kids and I attempted to make the Traveling Wildcats section of the K-Stater magazine by doing the K-S-U pose in front of The Bean. There is definitely a learning curve when it comes to making letters with your body, especially when you have to stand on one leg. After many attempts and a little rearranging, we ended up with this.
The photo has been sent to the magazine and we are awaiting word on whether or not we've made the cut...stay tuned.
We really packed some good times in with Lindsay and Kelly. Unfortunately, Keith worked nearly the entire time we were there (which is why you don't see him in any of these pictures). He did get the pleasure of getting up and escorting us and all of our luggage back to the airport at 5am. I'm sure you can imagine how fun that must have been.
Thanks for having us, we had the best time!

Gym Update
Kendall completed another session of gymnastics. She's a vet to that gym at this point. The coaches have let us know that Kendall and Madison have been confusing social hour and gym hour as they like to randomly pause and chat during class (see picture at top right below). A sign of what's to come, I'm sure.

Sweetest Brother in the World
Max was asked to name two things he is thankful for at Sunday school...
...he has two of them you know.

Rock Stars
Max and Kendall's First Concert
THE FRESH BEAT BAND
This was a highly anticipated day. We had tickets for months. Kendall may have asked "Are we going to Fresh Beats today?" about 150 times. We made signs and they were so cool, one of the crew guys asked to take a picture so he could show the band.
Our little rock stars waved their signs nearly the entire concert. I think we learned a hard lesson about setting expectations...towards the end of the concert, Kendall was screaming angrily "Fresh Beats! Over here!.. Mom, they won't hear me!"
Great show and great first experience!

Going Away Party
We had been hoping it wouldn't actually happen, but once Keith Stone bought a ring, they were off to Illinois...not before a proper send-off, of course.
Largest (vertically, not horizontally) guy in the room, and he doesn't end up in ONE picture at this own party.
Good Luck in Chicago, friends! The Clark's are going to miss you
