Max: "Oh Kendall, it's alright... there are no monsters in the mystic portal."

Kendall's First Day of Gymnastics

This girl has been waiting for so long to have her own activity to participate in and the time has finally come. She jumped and climbed for 50 minutes straight, and looked darn cute doing it.

Paradise Park

We took an impromptu trip to Paradise Park in Lee's Summit on Monday. Max enjoyed the pizza parlor and the ball pit, and I couldn't get Kendall away from the do-it-yourself face painting. It was a fun way to spend the morning!

Reincarnated Chicken Eater

Kendall was never able to meet Grandma Del, but she sure channeled her spirit last night. This little girl made her Grandma super proud when she chowed on some of mom's 3/4-eaten chicken wings at the local BWW. Grandma Del loved her some chicken (so much so, Jon (our grown, adult cousin) can't eat, or watch anyone eat, chicken on the bone). Grandma rarely touched an uneaten piece, there was plenty left on everyone else's chicken legs, wings, and thighs for her entire meal. Kendall hasn't quite reached the level of chicken eating that results in a gristleless, marrowless bone yet, but she's well on her way!

Way to go Double D!

Almost Famous

Here's the message we received at 4:30pm on Sunday (30 minutes before the shoot), after returning home from vacation. We were pretty bummed, this could have been Max's big break :)

DEEP THOUGHTS by Max

Max: "Mommy, can we talk?"
Rachel: "Yes."
Max: "I love you."

Gymnastics: Preschool I

Florida Vacation

Two days at sunny Bradenton Beach

A steamy, jam-packed day at Sea World with Papa John and Beth. We saw a Sesame Street show, ate at Shark's Underwater Grill, saw the sea lion/walrus/otter show, saw the killer whale show, rode some rides, saw the dolphin show, and saw lots of cool ocean animals.

Next, we spent 2 fun-filled nights at the Nickelodeon Hotel with Grandma Jean. We hung out at the water park, saw some SlimeTime Live shows (one of which Adrienne was picked to participate in on stage!), had breakfast with the characters, Kevin and Adrienne got slimed, and Rachel and Max watched many 4D shows in the theater.

One more thing....

Max met tons of his favorite cartoon characters...

... and got these cool autographs!

An afternoon of putt-putt for Kevin and Adrienne followed by Dowtown Disney. (Check out Woody made entirely from Legos!)

We also hit the awesome waterpark, Aquatica. (It was the end of our trip and I wasn't nearly as "on top" of the picture thing as the rest of the trip, not to mention, our camera isn't waterproof.)

A successful summer vacation and a whole lotta fun!
